With the continuous progress of sewage treatment process, the hospital gradually introduced the MBR integrated sewage treatment equipment. Compared with the traditional hospital sewage treatment process, MBR can save the amount of disinfectant, shorten the contact time, and achieve good results in microbial inactivation. It also helps to greatly reduce the cost of disinfection process and the impact of disinfectant residues on the natural environment. Therefore, this paper will discuss the characteristics of hospital sewage treatment in China, the limitations of chlorination disinfection process and the treatment of hospital sewage by membrane bioreactor.
In recent years, MBR, or membrane bioreactor, has been introduced in the process of sewage treatment in hospitals. As an integrated equipment, the hospital sewage can meet the standard of domestic water by flexibly configuring the process flow according to the quality of raw water. From the characteristics of hospital sewage treatment and the limitations of disinfection process, MBR integrated sewage treatment equipment will become an inevitable trend in the future application of hospital sewage.
