Main Characteristics of Hospital Sewage Treatment
At present, there are two main ways for domestic hospitals to treat sewage:
First, disinfectants are used to disinfect and then discharged into municipal sewers.
Secondly, the sewage is treated biochemically and discharged into natural water after disinfection. The main characteristics of these two sewage treatment methods are as follows: first, the concentration of pathogenic microorganisms is high, and the disinfection of sewage by medical units can not meet the qualified standards.
Especially after the scale of most hospitals has been reduced and the level has been reduced, the improvement of disinfection methods, sewage treatment equipment and self-detection has also shown a decreasing trend. Secondly, chlorine is the main disinfection process. In most areas of China, the target is to use chlorinated disinfectant, sodium hypochlorite disinfectant or liquid chlorine or chlorine dioxide for disinfection.
Thirdly, excessive or insufficient dosage of disinfectant is common. In order to ensure complete sterilization, some hospitals use excessive disinfectants. In order to save costs, some hospitals have obviously insufficient dosage, which can not achieve good disinfection effect.
